Last weekend was a successful event hosted in Nashville, our next stop is GBO. Kansas is known for high winds and tough playing conditions. This years glass blown open is the biggest tournament of the year so far with something like 500+ players. I am down for a good chalenge and hope to win two in a row. Dave Feldberg is in Europe playing an A tier at the Copenhagen Open so he will not attend GBO this year. Cale Leiviska was back home last weekend but he will meet up with us in Kansas. For now it is Will Schusterick, James our camera guy and myself leaving Nashville towards Kansas. I had a lot of fun hear in Nashville but am ready to move on and create new adventures ahead. Check out nonstopdiscgolf on facebook for more updates.

Last weekend was Knoxville this weekend is Nashville at Tripple Creek park. A special thanks to all the friends and co workers with non stop disc golf who helped make these tournaments possible. Big Andy has been on the ball setting things up and making sure everything is ran smoothly. I finally got my new Iphone in the mail today after someone stole my old one in Austin Texas. It was hard to stay in touch with people with out a phone. A huge relieve off my back to stay in touch with friends and family finally. I’m excited about playing this upcoming tournament tomorrow morning. Hopefully the practice putting pays off and I believe it should. This year is flying by fast looking forward to the Tripple Crown all three Major titles. Winning Major titles is something I live for these days. Promoting disc golf and teaching is always a great feeling. I want to be known as someone who not only Wins big tournaments but also puts in the effort to show people how amazing the sport of disc golf really is. I have big plans along with the rest of my team members this year from the non stop disc golf tour. I believe by this time next year things will be looking better and better. It feels like we are on the brink of something great I have heard good things take time though. With the support from sponsors and disc golf enthusiasts this sport we love so much can pour into the public eye. The solution to growing disc golf in my perspective is the media coverage. I have plans to follow up on a vision in my head that will help disc golf grow. The one thing that I believe we are missing is the Coverage at every tournament in the world. I want to see the highlights on the local news stations. Show people what disc golf is they will like it. Why would you not like to see something fly through the air into a tiny target down the fairway. Maybe its just me but disc golf is fun to watch even from a young kids perspective. I love it when we are at the course and some people stop for a second and just point in aww at a good flight on its way to the basket. Check out the non stop disc golf page on facebook and like us if you have time. All the support helps and we are all grateful to have a chance to make a difference in the sport of disc golf.

This will be my second Tennessee tournament in a row this coming weekend. Last week was Knoxville C tier where Will Schusterick took the victory by a four throw lead. Hopefully this weekend will by my turn to win. I have been spending sessions practicing putting in the backyard in Nashville, that part of the game is feeling good these days. Non Stop disc golf is on a roll this year winning nearly every single tournament in 2012. We have many things in the works and staying very positive about things to come in the near future. I am looking forward to three major championship titles this year. Setting up clinics and demonstrations in almost every single city we play disc golf is such an honor I can hardly describe it. Watching young kids enjoy the excitement of disc golf is a great feeling. I love all the support we are getting from friends and disc golf fans this year. I have had a few disappointing tournaments but I will not let this keep me down. There are a lot of big tournaments in 2012 and I will work harder to better my odds of winning. The St.Louis Open is coming up at the beginning of next month. I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family back in my home town. The non stop disc golf tour is ordering our shirts and will have them on the website very soon. be sure to check out our facebook page any time. The goal of our tour in 2012 is spreading disc golf into the public eye and expanding the sport we love in all ways possible.

Last weekend the NON STOP DISC GOLF crew ran our first tournament in Taos New Mexico. The weather was an unusual mix for the month of March. Practicing for the tournament was very windy, even short holes were tough to birdie. We finally got a slight break from the wind on tournament morning. I shot the hot round coming in at -11 under par. My 2nd round was consistent for the tough scoring conditions shooting a 48. With consistent wind reads and solid putting I was able to win our first non stop disc golf event. Although this was only a B tier event, it is always a good feeling to win against world class players. On top of getting my 2nd win of 2012 I was extremly stoked about teaching disc golf in Taos New Mexico. The non stop disc golf crew put on 5 clinics and 1 demo during the week. We are trying our best to do as much disc golf promoting as we can during 2012. Having a chance to meet with community officials at a local youth center pre tournament everyone was excited to have the top pros in their town. This year is all about spreading the love of disc golf into the public eye. I personally love the feeling of showing kids what disc golf is all about. Its nice to share my passion of disc golf with friends and New comers. The people of Taos were very cool and down to earth. I have a feeling this small town is going to accept disc golf with open arms.

Leaving Taos on Monday driving into Texas for the State Championships we are on a roll. We recently picked up our Camera man in San antinio for the rest of the year. James Thomas is a professional camera man and I have faith he will bring the non stop disc golf crew to the next level. Texas is a new state with new adventures, looking forward to another week of competition and promoting.

Arriving in Taos New Mexico late last night the non stop disc golf crew has a productive week planned ahead. Meeting up with Dave Smith the local disc golf promoter we started off doing a school clinic mid afternoon. The kids seemed to have a really good time with the ring of fire and trick shots. We ended the clinic with a distance demonstration where Will Schousterick and I drove 600ft shots showing off disc golf potential. I love demonstrating disc golf and being involved with this whole non stop disc golf project. After the clinic/demonstration we got into the RV and headed towards a community meeting at a local Rec-center. Meeting with leaders in youth programs in this area everyone seemed interested in spreading disc golf in the Taos New Mexico area. Im proud to be involved with spreading disc golf in any way possible, it was a good feeling to attend this board meeting and hope to get more involved in the future. It looks like each and every day the non stop disc golf crew is taking steps in the right direction. We have more demonstrating planned for the rest of the week and hope to get as many people to our first non stop disc golf tournament as possible. Local News and radio stations are catching on and should be at the course during the week. Getting media coverage for all disc golf tournaments is something that will for sure spread the love of the greatest game on earth. Stay tuned for more updates during the week I will try to get pictures on the site very soon.

Phoenix Arizona hosted the first national tour in the beautiful scottsdale and Fountain hills area. Competition was at an all time high in this tournament. My personal play was not satisfactory and a bit disappointing on a personal level. Coming off a good win in Las Vegas I feel as if I went into the tournament not as agressive enough. Out of bounds and error cost me my chances of winning the first NT of 2012. I want to find a learning experience somewhere in the mistakes, move on and simply play better next time. After the 4th and final day of the tournament I ended up tied for tenth place with fellow Nonstop team member Cale Leiviska. Will Schousterick and Dave Feldberg had very respectable finishes in 2nd and 3rd place. Capturing his third NT title and Repeating at the Memorial Championships was Huntington Beach’s Paul Mcbeth. Averaging a 1084.5 average Mcbeth was a gamer and deserved to win with that kind of play. I will be practicing harder then ever for upcoming tournaments and working towards perfecting my own game. Our next tour stop is Taos New Mexico where we will run our first actual nonstopdiscgolf tournament. I’m stoked for the week we have planned ahead. Teaching disc golf at several schools during the week and running my first tournament sounds like fun. I’m determined to succeed at disc golf more then ever and feel strong vibes in the future of disc golf. Playing my role to the best of my ability and following my dream is an unbelievable experience. Working together with the nonstopdiscgolf crew will bring us all closer to something great. I give props to Will and Dave for a good showing at the Memorial their drive to win makes me want it even more. We are all working together at this point running down a dream. Together working on projects and developing ideas for our future in disc golf is amazing.
Talking with Dynamic Discs and Huk Lab we are linking up two powerhouse disc golf retailers to help sponsor the nonstopdiscgolf tour. The Nonstopdiscgolf.com web page is still in the works and will have updates soon. We are still in the works of Tattooing our RV with sponsors for the tour. If you are part of company or interested in individual sponsorship on the Tour Bus please contact me at nikkolocastro@live.com or send a message through facebook so we can stay in touch. I’m very open to any ideas you may have for our tour or anything in general. Rolling towards New Mexico Right now hope to see more people sign up online in the next week.

After trying out new products in the off season and over looking my options I decided to go with Team Innova for 2012. This decision was nothing against any other disc golf company. Having a mixed bag had its ups and down but at the end of the day it was something that happened for a reason. Moving on from the past and keeping my mind set on the future is all I am focused on this year. I wanted to focus on disc golf full time this year without thinking about other things. This year is all about spreading my love for disc golf where ever I go. I feel focused on performance and health this year. Nonstopdiscgolf is the NEW CREW of top disc golfers traveling together this year. With the help from my friends and team members we are all about spreading disc golf in 2012. We are planning a series of tour stops where we will set up clinics and run tournaments. Having the chance to travel with some of the worlds best and constantly push each other to win will make us all better. I’m looking forward to competing and teaching disc golf this year. We recently had a clinic in Las Vegas at a high school. It was an awesome experience to teach disc golf. Many more opportunities await around every corner. Following my dream is an unbelievable feeling I’m learning more and more every day about soaking in the moments life has to offer on and off the disc golf course. I’m looking forward to see what awaits in the future for disc golf.

Last weekend was my first tournament of 2012 in Monterrey California. I ended up in third place behind Dave Feldberg and Will Schusterick. I did not bring the A game but this was a warm up for the bigger tournaments. I will take it as it is and accept my learning experience. Yesterday was the first round in Vegas and I am sitting in 4th with a decent round just didn’t get a few easy birdie holes. I hope to shoot a hot round today. Finishing in 2nd place for the last two years at this tournament I am playing to win and want to do my best no matter what. I will keep my mind focused on one shot at a time and visualize my shots before they happen to the best of my ability. I am playing with world class players so I know they will push me right along hopefully into a victory. I can feel my mental game getting better all the time but I still wanted to get fired up to win the tournament. Accepting another 2nd place is not whats going down. Disc Golf is a magical game where anything can happen just let the cards fall in place and see how the outcome is.
