I am spending time in Rolla Missouri hanging out with my grandparents. Luckily I have two practice baskets in the front yard. I have been working out the kinks on the putting green and developing a comfortable routine for competition. My cousin tony recently came into town to help take care of my grandmother. Disc golf is my dream and passion, but family comes first in my world. I’m excited and stoked to get into tournaments. Life has been a crazy journey these last few years so you never know what to expect. Sponsorship is still open ended besides with dynamic discs we seem to be on the same page. I would love to find an outside sponsor for disc golf. Franks red hot sauce would be an amazing sponsor if I could pull that one off. I have put in field work during the off season testing new discs. I really like my set bag set up right now. Having the chance to throw what ever is new makes me feel like I am doing the right thing. Disc golf is not about what clothes you wear or what discs you throw. Disc golf is amazing for what it is a free spirited underground sport making its way up the ranks. Everyone I talk to admits that disc golf is growing every year. I want to take my position inside of disc golf to another level this year by introducing disc golf to new people threw clinics and demonstrations. Once I get threw this weird time in my life it’s all spout putting in effort in training. I know with a great mindset and determination to win I can strive for excellence. Opportunity is in every second that passes thank god for the opportunity to disc golf for a living. Friends, fans supporters and family keep me strong.

Keep going nikko, worlds is yours this year, i can feel it. Question with your power grip. Do you place the edge of the disc with the line of your palm? or do you do the dion arlyn/Avery jenkins low line grip? in most of the tournaments ive sen you play, its seems your doing the lower line, but in your most recent video in looks like your going down the middle of your palm. please post some pictures of your grip for us. and i hope everything goes good for your family, you’ll be in my prayers

Two quotes I really like that applies to you :)

“Example is not the main thing in influencing others; it’s the only thing.” – Albert Schweitzer

“Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.” – Margaret Thatcher

We all support you all the way! Focus on goals and plan the steps to get there!

I would look at Oakley, Red Bull and other corporates that sponsor many types of sportsman. Put together a media kit with your impressive credentials and get it into the hands of the managers. Can’t figure it out? Try contacting people that are already sponsored (forget disc golf, you can make more with the media exposure and selling the brand to people that want to be like you)for the path in. Dude, dream big, don’t let anyone get in the way of that dream. Get busy promoting what you HAVE DONE and what you are GOING TO DO and take your sponsors there. Nikko, brands are looking for alternative media exposure. It’s not a reach for sponsoring you, you are already doing it. Think outside of disc golf for sponsorship, that will lead you to good money. Sending good vibes your way…

Think we could get a “in the bag” segment of what you’re going to carry this year?
